2006 Mitsubishi Shogun Sport 2.5L Diesel · DV06 DYF

This vehicle presents an exceptionally stable roadworthiness profile. The most recent MOT test on 28 April 2025 at 118,841 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. This follows a consistent five year trend of clean passes, suggesting a high standard of preventative maintenance or a vehicle that has been meticulously preserved. The mileage is low for a twenty year old 4x4, averaging roughly 5,942 miles per year. The accumulation has remained steady over the last five years, growing from 102,854 miles in April 2021 to 118,841 miles by April 2025. This linear progression indicates regular, light use rather than long periods of standing, which typically helps preserve rubber seals and prevents battery degradation. The absence of any advisories or failures since 2021 is rare for a vehicle of this age and type. The record shows no mentions of corrosion, suspension bush wear, or brake disc deterioration. While the paperwork is clean, a buyer should still physically inspect the chassis and underside for structural rust, as MOT testers often overlook superficial corrosion that does not immediately compromise safety. Check for signs of perished tyres or leaking shock absorbers during a physical inspection. Low mileage vehicles can sometimes suffer from dry rot in tyres or seals if they have spent significant time stationary between the recorded tests. Verify that the four wheel drive system engages smoothly, as the MOT test does not comprehensively evaluate the drivetrain's mechanical health.
