2012 Mitsubishi L200 2.5L Diesel · DV12 OPB

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status despite a history of technical failures. The most recent MOT test on 10 November 2025 at 93,485 miles resulted in a pass with no recorded defects, following a failure just four days prior at 93,440 miles. This pattern indicates that the previous owner is proactive in rectifying issues immediately upon discovery by the tester, ensuring the vehicle currently meets the minimum legal standards without any outstanding advisories. The mileage accumulation is consistent with typical usage for a commercial vehicle, averaging approximately 6,678 miles per year over its fourteen-year life. Between the October 2023 and 2024 tests, the vehicle covered roughly 10,000 miles, while the interval between October 2024 and November 2025 saw approximately 7,500 miles. This relatively low annual mileage suggests the drivetrain has not been subjected to heavy-duty stress, though the age of the vehicle increases the likelihood of rubber-based component degradation and corrosion. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the specific components that triggered the failures in 2024 and 2025, as the record does not specify the mechanical reason for these rejections. Given the vehicle's age and type, a thorough check of the chassis integrity, particularly the rear and mounting points, is essential to identify structural rust that often develops on older pickups. Additionally, verify the condition of the brake lines and the state of the suspension bushes, as these are common points of failure on L200 models even with moderate mileage figures.
