2022 BMW M440I Xdrive Mhev Auto 3.0L Hybrid electric (clean) · DW10 REC

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, with no defects recorded in its most recent MOT on 2025-11-28 at 24,903 miles. The maintenance trend shows stability, as the single recorded test found no issues requiring immediate attention. No advisories or failures were noted, indicating the car has met legal standards without significant mechanical concerns. This suggests the previous owner maintained the vehicle to a basic level, though the absence of historical data limits deeper analysis of long-term reliability. The mileage of 24,903 miles over four years equates to approximately 6,226 miles annually, aligning with typical usage for a vehicle of this age. The MOT record lacks entries prior to 2025, leaving no evidence of earlier maintenance patterns or potential issues. This sparse data means there is no indication of recurring faults, but it also prevents assessment of how the car’s condition has evolved over time. The lack of prior tests could signal either consistent compliance or a gap in the service history, which a buyer should verify through additional records. A buyer should inspect the suspension components, particularly suspension bushes and coil springs, for signs of wear, as these can degrade over time without visible external indicators. The braking system, including brake discs and calipers, should be checked for uneven wear or corrosion, as these often develop gradually. While no structural rust or emission issues were flagged, a physical examination is necessary to confirm the absence of hidden damage, especially given the limited MOT history. The car’s low mileage and recent pass suggest it is in good condition, but thorough in-person checks remain essential.
