2014 Audi A3 2.0L Petrol · E24 OWN

This vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a clean record of recent inspections. The most recent MOT on 19 July 2025 at 118,543 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a consistent pattern of passing tests without technical failures over the last three years, suggesting the car is currently maintained to a standard that meets minimum legal requirements. The mileage is typical for a twelve year old vehicle, averaging roughly 9,879 miles per year. There is a notable increase in usage between July 2023 and July 2024, where the odometer rose from 104,394 to 114,009 miles. Since that period, the annual mileage has decreased, with only 4,534 miles added between July 2024 and July 2025. This fluctuation does not indicate any immediate mechanical concern but shows a shift in the vehicle's usage patterns. The MOT history is unusually clean for a car of this age and mileage. The record shows two instances where the vehicle failed and passed on the same day in July 2023 and July 2024, though the DVSA data lists no specific defects for these failures. This often points to minor administrative errors or the immediate rectification of simple consumable issues. There are no recurring mentions of suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake disc corrosion. A buyer should still conduct a physical inspection of the underbody for structural corrosion, as MOT testers may overlook early signs of rust that have not yet compromised safety. Given the mileage exceeds 118,000, checking the service history for timing belt and water pump replacements is essential. While the MOT record is clear, these high-wear drivetrain components are not always flagged unless they cause a direct failure during the test.
