2011 Vauxhall Zafira 1.7L Diesel · EA61 ACO

The Vauxhall Zafira presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, evidenced by the most recent test on 16 October 2024 at 148,396 miles returning a pass with no defects recorded. Across the four available annual tests from 2021 to 2024, the vehicle cleared every examination without a single advisory or failure, indicating consistent upkeep and no escalating mechanical concerns over the period. Mileage advanced from 100,383 miles at the 6 October 2021 test to 148,396 miles by October 2024, an accumulation of 48,013 miles across three years or roughly 16,000 miles per annum. This sits above the vehicle's lifetime average of 9,893 miles per year and reflects regular use rather than prolonged storage. The record shows no gaps between tests; each certificate falls within a few weeks of the prior October date, confirming the keeper maintained continuous legal road cover. A clean MOT history with zero advisories across all entries gives no direct signal of worn suspension bushes, corroded structure, or failing brake components. At 15 years old and 148,396 miles, however, the Zafira is past the age where silent wear on coil springs, subframe corrosion, and brake disc lip formation commonly appears without yet breaching test limits. The absence of flagged items suggests either diligent pre-test rectification or simply a sound example. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection of the underbody for structural rust, verify suspension arm bush condition, and measure brake disc and pad thickness in person. The high annual mileage means drivetrain mounts and exhaust hangers warrant a visual check despite the unblemished record. Treat the MOT as a pass/fail snapshot rather than a guarantee of component life remaining.
