2006 Skoda Fabia 1.2L Petrol · EJ06 ADZ

The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2022-06-14 at 59,062 miles showed a pass with no defects recorded, but this test predates the current date by over four years. The preceding 2021-06-21 test at 52,932 miles also passed with no defects, while two identical failures on the same date and mileage were recorded. These results suggest inconsistent testing or potential administrative errors, as no specific mechanical issues were flagged. The absence of defects in all recorded tests indicates no immediate roadworthiness concerns, but the lack of recent assessments limits confidence in the vehicle’s current condition. The vehicle’s mileage of 59,062 miles over 20 years equates to approximately 2,953 miles annually, significantly lower than average for its age. This suggests infrequent use or prolonged periods of inactivity, which can accelerate wear on static components like rubber seals, suspension bushes, and corrosion-prone areas. Notably, the 2019-05-24 test at 52,834 miles passed without defects, but the subsequent 2021 and 2022 tests at similar mileages show conflicting pass/fail outcomes. The sparse data and lack of detailed defect reports make it difficult to assess long-term maintenance trends. A buyer should prioritize inspecting the suspension system for hardened bushes or coil spring fatigue, as low mileage can mask wear in these areas. The braking system, particularly rear calipers and discs, warrants scrutiny due to the potential for corrosion or binding in vehicles with limited use. Structural integrity should also be evaluated, as rust or panel degradation may go undetected in MOT records. Given the absence of recent tests, a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic is strongly advised to confirm the vehicle’s mechanical and safety status.
