2019 BMW X5 3.0L Diesel · EJ69 WDW

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, though the maintenance trend shows signs of emerging wear-related issues. The most recent test on June 3, 2026 at 30,491 miles identified a worn offside front suspension arm pin or bush. While this did not result in a failure, it indicates that the suspension components are beginning to degrade, marking a shift from the clean records seen in the previous years. The mileage profile is notably low for a seven-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 4,356 miles per year. There are significant gaps in usage, such as the 7,000-mile interval between May 2024 and June 2026. This low-frequency use explains the advisories from the May 2024 test at 16,401 miles, where the tester flagged all four tyres for cracking or perishing. Such dry rot is a common symptom of a vehicle that sits for long periods, leading to rubber degradation despite low levels of tread wear. A buyer should conduct a physical inspection of the front suspension to assess the extent of the play in the offside arm bush. Given the history of perished tyres, a thorough check of the sidewalls on all remaining rubber is essential to ensure they have not reached the end of their structural life cycle. Because the car has been infrequently driven, the buyer should also verify the health of rubber hoses, brake lines, and fluids, which can suffer from age-related degradation when not regularly exercised.
