2015 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L Petrol · EL15 ESK

The vehicle is currently roadworthy having passed its most recent inspection on 11 March 2026 at 77,298 miles. The maintenance trend shows a stable level of compliance, despite a curious recurring pattern of immediate failures followed by successful retests. In both 2025 and 2026, the car failed the initial test but passed on the same day, suggesting the previous owner addressed specific defects only after they were flagged by the tester rather than preemptively. The mileage progression is consistent with an eleven-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 7,000 miles per year. Between March 2024 at 71,459 miles and March 2025 at 72,904 miles, the car covered only 1,445 miles, indicating a period of low usage. However, the subsequent interval saw 4,394 miles between March 2025 and March 2026, showing more recent activity. This low mileage is generally favourable to mechanical wear but can lead to degradation of rubber components and seals if the vehicle sits stationary frequently. A buyer should physically inspect the specific components that caused the failures in March 2025 and March 2026, as the provided record does not detail the exact defects. These failures likely related to minor consumable items such as bulbs, wiper blades, or slight brake fluid leaks. Given the age of the Corsa, a close look at structural corrosion on the sills and rear mounting points is essential, as these are common failure areas for this model. Check the suspension bushes for cracks and the brake rotors to ensure the low mileage has not masked age-related material fatigue.
