Most recent MOT (26 May 2026) The car recorded a failure on the latest test. The reasons were: front‑suspension arm pins/bushes worn, front‑suspension ball joints with slight play, rear tyre tread at the legal limit, rear brake pipe corroded and greased, front brake pads close to the wear limit, and an off‑side front position lamp that does not work. The same list of wear items appears on a “passed” entry for the same date, but the failure for the lamp makes the overall outcome a fail. Recurring mechanical pattern Across the four MOTs (2022‑2026) the same groups of parts keep showing up: Front suspension – pins/bushes and ball‑joint wear are recorded in every test. The wear is described as “not resulting in excessive movement,” but the repeat finding shows the components are nearing the end of their service life. Tyre condition – front tyres have been at the legal limit on three occasions (2022, 2024, 2026). This indicates either a pattern of running the car on worn tyres or a lack of regular tyre replacement. Brake pipe corrosion – both rear brake pipes were noted as corroded and covered in grease in 2022, 2024 and 2026. Corrosion can eventually lead to leaks or reduced braking efficiency. Brake wear – front brake pads are now thin, and the discs were reported as pitted but not seriously weakened in 2024.
