2012 Citroen DS3 1.6L Diesel · EY12 FRO

This Citroën DS3 has a stable roadworthiness record, having passed its most recent MOT test on 25 November 2023 at 121,412 miles with no defects recorded. The absence of advisories or failings suggests the vehicle met all mandatory safety and emissions standards at that point. However, the test occurred nearly two years ago, placing it well beyond the current MOT validity period of 12 months. Without intervening inspections or maintenance records, there is no evidence of recurring issues or progressive wear patterns from the available data. The recorded mileage of 121,412 miles over approximately 14 years equates to an average of around 8,672 miles annually, which is typical for a vehicle of this age. There are no intermediate mileage markers or additional MOT tests in the provided record to assess maintenance frequency or usage patterns. The sparse data prevents confirmation of whether the vehicle has undergone regular servicing or if critical components like suspension bushes, coil springs, or brake calipers have been replaced as recommended. Given the lack of recent MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an independent inspection of high-wear components such as the suspension system—particularly the rear bushes and coil springs—for signs of deterioration or excessive play. The brakes, including calipers, pads, and discs, should be checked for uneven wear, binding, or corrosion, especially if the vehicle has been exposed to wet conditions. Structural integrity, particularly around the wheel arches and sills, must also be examined for corrosion or rust penetration, as this can compromise the chassis over time. The absence of advisories in the last test does not guarantee current condition, so visual and functional checks are essential.
