2016 Vauxhall Zafira 2.0L Diesel · EY16 PHX

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile with a history of clean passes over the last three years. The most recent inspection conducted in June 2025 at 90,507 miles resulted in no recorded defects, indicating that the car currently meets the minimum statutory safety requirements. This follows a period of consistent results since 2022, suggesting that the previous owners have maintained the vehicle to a standard that avoids recurring mechanical failures. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent with typical annual usage for a decade-old vehicle, averaging approximately 9,000 miles per year. Between the May 2022 test at 71,255 miles and the June 2025 test at 90,507 miles, the vehicle covered 19,252 miles, showing a steady progression rather than periods of neglect or sudden heavy strain. The failure in June 2023 at 77,450 miles was immediately rectified, as the vehicle passed on the same day, indicating only minor issues between test intervals. While the recent MOT records are clean, a buyer should focus on specific mechanical areas common to the Zafira of this age. Given the vehicle is approaching the 100,000-mile mark, a physical inspection of the suspension bushes and coil springs is necessary, as these components often degrade before triggering an MOT failure. The buyer should also check for signs of thinning brake discs and inspect the structural integrity of the sills, as the MOT record does not detect early-stage surface corrosion.
