2023 Bentley Bentayga V8 S Auto 4.0L Petrol · EY23 PXH

Consistent mechanical compliance defines the roadworthiness profile of this Bentley Bentayga, which successfully cleared its first statutory MOT inspection on 10 July 2026 without a single recorded defect. Given the vehicle has reached its three-year milestone with a clean bill of health, the current record indicates that the primary structural and safety-critical systems have functioned within the required regulatory parameters since the vehicle was first registered. There are no recurring advisories or historical failures to suggest underlying patterns of deterioration, establishing a baseline of stability for the vehicle as it exits its initial manufacturer warranty period. Accumulating 19,206 miles over three years results in an average of approximately 6,402 miles per annum, a usage rate that aligns with standard expectations for a luxury SUV of this classification. This mileage suggests consistent, moderate use rather than prolonged periods of inactivity or extreme high-mileage motorway commuting. Mechanically, this usage pattern is generally favourable for complex drivetrain components and air suspension systems, as regular operation helps maintain the integrity of seals and prevents the stagnation of fluids within the adaptive damping and hydraulic systems. Prospective buyers should focus their physical inspection on the high-performance braking system and the air suspension architecture, as these are the components most susceptible to wear in a vehicle of this weight and power output. During the test drive, listen for any audible hissing or uneven ride height adjustments from the air struts, which could indicate a slow leak in the pneumatic lines or a failing compressor. Any sensation of pedal judder under moderate braking or a metallic scraping sound during low-speed manoeuvres should be investigated, as these may point to premature wear on the heavy-duty brake discs or pads that are not yet captured in the MOT history. Furthermore, while the underside passed inspection, the complexity of the V8 powertrain and the extensive under-tray shielding can occasionally mask the early stages of minor oil misting or weeping from the turbocharger piping and cooling connections. During the test drive, ensure the engine reaches full operating temperature to confirm there are no pungent odours of burning oil or coolant, which can sometimes be trapped by the vehicle's aerodynamic cladding. A thorough inspection of the tyre inner edges is also advised, as the vehicle's geometry settings are sensitive to kerb impacts and can lead to uneven wear patterns that may not be flagged until the tread depth approaches the legal limit.
