1988 Honda CB350 0.3L Petrol · F129 MLU

The 1988 Honda CB350 presents a stable and clean roadworthiness record. The most recent MOT, conducted on 19 June 2024 at 34,117 miles, passed with zero defects recorded. This indicates the motorcycle met all required standards for brakes, lights, tyres, suspension, and structural integrity at that time. With no advisories or failures noted, the maintenance trend appears stable, though the single data point limits the ability to track a longer-term pattern of improvement or decline. The recorded mileage of 34,117 miles over approximately 38 years equates to roughly 898 miles per year, which is notably low for a motorcycle of this age. Such light annual use suggests the bike was likely used for occasional leisure riding or may have spent extended periods stationary. The MOT history contains only one entry, dated 19 June 2024, so there is no prior mileage progression to analyse for gaps or rapid accumulation. The absence of earlier records means the odometer reading cannot be independently verified through a documented chain of MOT submissions, which is a common limitation with older motorcycles that may have been off the road for extended periods. A clean MOT pass is reassuring, but the lack of historical data means a buyer should carry out a thorough in-person inspection. Given the bike's age and low mileage, particular attention should be paid to the condition of rubber components such as tyres, fork seals, and suspension bushes, which can perish from age and prolonged standing rather than use. The braking system, including calipers, hoses, and disc condition, should be examined closely, as binding or corrosion is common on machines that sit idle. A close visual check of the frame, welds, and exhaust system for corrosion or structural deterioration is also advisable, as these are not always fully captured in a standard MOT assessment.
