2017 BMW 335 3.0L Diesel · F4 OGG

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, though the maintenance history indicates a trend of reactive rather than proactive care. While it passed the latest test in March 2026 at 73,780 miles, the tester flagged worn front tyres nearing the legal limit and pitted rear brake discs. This follows a pattern seen in previous years where components are only addressed once they reach the point of failure, suggesting the owner monitors items primarily during annual inspection intervals. The mileage progression is consistent with a nine-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,200 miles per year. Data shows a steady accumulation, moving from 43,440 miles in March 2022 to 73,780 miles in March 2026. This regular usage suggests typical driving cycles rather than long periods of stagnation which can lead to seal degradation or corrosion. The lack of recorded defects in 2024 at 59,254 miles indicates a period where the vehicle operated in relatively good mechanical condition. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the braking system, given the recurring reports of pitted and scored discs across 2022, 2025, and 2026. The persistent pitting often indicates moisture corrosion from infrequent use or seized calipers, which can affect braking performance if not replaced. The front tyres should also be checked for alignment, as the edge wear noted in 2023 and 2026 suggests potential tracking issues or worn suspension bushes. Inspecting the rear suspension and control arms is advisable to ensure the consistent mileage has not resulted in unadvertised play in the chassis components.
