2005 Ford Fiesta 1.2L Petrol · FH05 KPN

The 2005 Ford Fiesta presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, confirmed by the most recent test on 11 July 2024 at 38,912 miles where the tester recorded no defects. Prior to that, the July 2023 cycle showed a clean pass on 6 July at 32,647 miles following a failed attempt three days earlier on 3 July at the same mileage, though the failure listed no specific defects. The absence of recorded advisories across the 2021 to 2024 entries indicates no escalating mechanical concerns. Annual mileage sits at roughly 1,850 miles given the 38,912 recorded against 21 years of age. The record shows steady low use: 27,934 miles in July 2021, 30,452 in July 2022, 32,647 in July 2023, and 38,912 in July 2024. No gaps exceed twelve months between tests. Such light yearly running with continuous testing suggests the car was kept garaged or used for short local trips rather than neglected, though long idle periods raise the risk of perished rubber and seized components not captured by a pass result. The unexplained failure on 3 July 2023 with zero defects logged points to an administrative or presentation issue rather than a hard mechanical fault, yet a buyer should still verify the vehicle's identity and paperwork match the DVSA entry. With no advisories on suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, or corrosion, the structure appears sound on paper. Low mileage over two decades can hide dried-out seals and flat-spotted tyres from standing. Inspect the underbody for structural rust and check brake calipers for binding after the car has stood unused. Confirm the exhaust emissions remain clean given the aged 1.25-litre unit. The clean record supports a fair purchase if a physical inspection confirms no hidden perishables.
