2022 Lexus RX 3.5L Hybrid electric (clean) · FJI 1152

The 2022 Lexus RX presents a stable and highly reassuring mechanical profile. The most recent MOT test on 31 March 2026 at 26,809 miles passed with zero defects, indicating the vehicle currently meets all roadworthiness standards without any advisories. This clean bill of health, combined with the previous year's flawless test, establishes a stable maintenance trend rather than a worsening or resolving one. The mileage accumulation aligns perfectly with typical usage for a vehicle of this age. Between the 2025 test at 21,964 miles and the 2026 test at 26,809 miles, the car covered 4,845 miles over twelve months. This steady, low-mileage accumulation suggests light, consistent use rather than prolonged standing or aggressive driving. The data set is sparse but entirely clean, showing no anomalies or rapid spikes in usage that might accelerate wear on drivetrain components. Given the absence of recurring mechanical faults in the official record, a buyer's physical inspection should focus on age-related deterioration rather than chronic failure points. Despite the low mileage, the vehicle is four years old, meaning rubber suspension bushes and tyre sidewalls may exhibit perishing or cracking from environmental exposure rather than wear. Low-mileage vehicles often suffer from surface corrosion on brake discs if left standing for extended periods, so checking for binding calipers or uneven disc wear remains prudent. A thorough underbody inspection will confirm the structural integrity of the chassis and exhaust system, ensuring the pristine MOT history translates to the physical condition of the car.
