2016 Ford Focus 1.5L Diesel · FP65 HYK

The 2016 Ford Focus remains roadworthy as of its most recent MOT on 2025-08-27 at 104,045 miles, with no defects recorded. The vehicle has maintained a stable maintenance trend over the past four years, as all prior MOTs from 2022 to 2024 also passed without issues. No recurring mechanical or structural problems are evident in the history, suggesting consistent upkeep. The absence of advisories or failures indicates the previous owner prioritized basic maintenance, though no detailed service records accompany the MOT data. Mileage progression aligns with average annual usage for the vehicle’s age, averaging 10,404 miles per year. The MOT history shows regular testing intervals, with the longest gap between 2023-02-16 (65,586 miles) and 2024-02-16 (78,796 miles), a 13,210-mile increase over 12 months. This suggests steady, moderate usage without prolonged inactivity. No spikes in mileage or extended periods of neglect are apparent, reinforcing the impression of routine operation. The clean MOT record through 2025-08-27 further supports this interpretation. A buyer should verify the condition of non-MOT-covered components, such as suspension bushes, coil springs, and exhaust emissions, as these are not assessed during standard MOTs. While no corrosion or structural issues were flagged, a physical inspection of the underbody for rust is advisable, particularly in areas prone to road salt exposure. Brake discs and calipers should also be checked for uneven wear, as these can develop over time without triggering MOT failures. The vehicle’s history does not indicate urgent concerns, but a pre-purchase inspection remains essential to confirm the integrity of these systems.
