2009 Vauxhall Corsa 1.0L Petrol · FV59 PZH

The vehicle presents a stable maintenance profile with a clean MOT history in its most recent inspections. The July 2025 test at 113,291 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a consistent pattern of passing tests in July 2024 at 107,905 miles and July 2023 at 104,760 miles. While the vehicle failed a test on 28 June 2023 at 104,750 miles, the subsequent successful tests indicate that any issues identified during that failure were rectified promptly. The mileage accumulation appears consistent with a vehicle of this age. Averaging approximately 6,664 miles per year over its 17-year lifespan, the car shows a steady and predictable usage pattern rather than long periods of standing or excessive high-speed motorway commuting. The incremental increases between the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 tests suggest regular, light-to-moderate annual usage. Because the recent MOT records show no advisories regarding corrosion, suspension bushes, or brake wear, the mechanical history appears exceptionally clean for a 2009 model. However, a physical inspection is still necessary to verify the condition of consumable items that MOT testers often overlook. You should specifically check the underside for structural rust, particularly on the rear axle and sills, as these are common failure points on older Corsas. The absence of advisories for brake discs or pads in the recent history is a positive sign, but you should manually inspect the brake calipers for signs of binding or excessive corrosion. Additionally, examine the condition of the suspension coil springs and shock absorbers for leaks or fractures. Given the vehicle has surpassed 110,000 miles, checking the integrity of various rubber bushings and drive shafts is a prudent step to ensure long-term reliability.
