2015 Smart (mcc) Forfour 1.0L Petrol · FX15 KVV

The vehicle is currently in a roadworthy state, showing an improving trend in maintenance consistency. The most recent inspection on 10 January 2026 at 50,069 miles passed with no defects recorded. This follows a significant improvement from the end of 2024, where the vehicle failed twice. The recent clean pass indicates that whatever mechanical or structural issues causing previous failures were addressed and rectified by the owner prior. The mileage profile is notably low for an eleven-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 4,552 miles per year. The data shows a period of higher activity in late 2024, where the car covered 1,988 miles between January and December, followed by an additional 2,807 miles leading up to the January 2026 test. While low mileage generally reduces overall wear on the drivetrain and engine, it can lead to the degradation of rubber-based components such as suspension bushes and tyre sidew if the vehicle sits for long periods. A buyer should focus physical inspection on the components that caused the failures in January and December 2024, as the provided record does not list the specific reasons for those declines. Given the recurring failures in a short window, it is vital to verify the condition of the brake calipers for binding and check the suspension geometry for play. You should also inspect the chassis for corrosion, particularly on structural points, as low-mileage cars can still suffer from surface rust if stored in damp environments without adequate underbody treatments.
