2016 BMW X4 2.0L Diesel · FY16 NFM

A consistent record of roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with eight consecutive MOT tests since 2019 resulting in passes without a single recorded defect or advisory. This trend of clean test results remains stable, as evidenced by the most recent pass on 7 February 2026, indicating that no components have reached a state of failure or significant wear as defined by DVSA standards over the last seven years. The recorded mileage of 59,746 miles is low for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 5,975 miles per year. This usage profile indicates the vehicle has been used significantly less than the national average. Mechanically, this lower accumulation reduces the expected wear on the drivetrain and suspension components, although it may result in different wear characteristics compared to a high-mileage vehicle. As the MOT history is devoid of advisories, there are no specific recorded defects to target during a pre-purchase inspection. A physical examination should nonetheless be used to verify the current condition of the brake discs for surface corrosion or lip wear and the suspension bushes for signs of perishing, as these components may be nearing the end of their service life without yet triggering a formal advisory. During a test drive, the buyer should listen for any knocks or thumps from the suspension over uneven surfaces and feel for any steering pull or pedal judder. These checks will help determine if any mechanical degradation has occurred since the last clean pass in February 2026, ensuring the vehicle continues to operate in accordance with its recorded history.
