2012 Audi A3 1.6L Petrol · G1 RKP

The 2012 Audi A3 remains roadworthy according to the most recent MOT on 14 November 2025 at 115,946 miles, passing with only minor advisories – slight discoloration of both rear direction indicators. The pattern across the five recorded tests shows a stable maintenance trajectory; tyre wear and brake disc condition have been flagged consistently but never escalated to a failure, suggesting that previous owners have addressed issues before they became critical. Mileage has risen from 71,513 miles in December 2021 to 115,946 miles in November 2025, an increase of roughly 44,400 miles over four years – about 11,100 miles per annum. This is marginally above the UK average of 10,000 miles per year, indicating a period of relatively higher usage in recent years. The annual testing cadence is regular, with no significant gaps, which provides a clear view of wear trends and implies that the vehicle has been kept within the statutory inspection schedule. A prospective buyer should give particular attention to the tyre condition, especially the inner edges of the rear tyres where feathering and near‑limit wear have been recorded repeatedly (2021‑2023). Inspect the brake discs for thickness and any surface scoring, as rear disc wear was noted in 2023 and front disc wear in 2022, albeit not excessive. Verify that the rear direction indicators are free of corrosion beyond the slight discoloration observed, and confirm that the wiper blades have been replaced since the 2024 defect. Finally, a visual check of the suspension bushes and coil springs is prudent, as persistent tyre feathering can be a symptom of compromised suspension geometry.
