2004 Honda Civic 1.6L Petrol · G2 CPS

The 2004 Honda Civic presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 20 November 2025 at 87,875 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken five-year sequence of clean MOT results. The vehicle shows no recurring advisories or escalating faults across the available history. Recorded mileage sits at 87,875 against an age of roughly 22 years, equating to about 3,994 miles per year. The test entries confirm light annual use: the car covered only 1,857 miles between November 2021 and November 2022, and just 1,857 miles again into the 2025 test. No gaps appear in the annual testing, and the low, consistent accumulation suggests gentle private use rather than neglect or heavy commuting. A clean MOT sheet does not exempt the buyer from physical inspection. At this age and with long standing periods likely, we would examine suspension bushes, coil springs, and subframe mounts for perishing or corrosion. Brake discs and calipers deserve checks for binding after low-mileage dormancy, and the exhaust system should be inspected for internal rot not visible to the tester. Given the absence of any flagged defects, previous owners appear to have kept basic upkeep current. The buyer should still commission an independent underside inspection for structural integrity before purchase, as MOT passes at this mileage can mask slow cosmetic rust progression on a 2004 chassis.
