2018 Volkswagen Caddy 2.0L Diesel · GJ68 WWD

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness, evidenced by a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent test conducted on 22 October 2025 at 97,788 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This streak of perfect records over the last five years suggests that the previous owners have maintained the vehicle to a standard that prevents mechanical or structural failures from reaching the testing threshold. The mileage profile reflects a consistent heavy usage pattern, averaging approximately 12,200 miles per annum. Between October 2021 at 49,103 miles and October 2024 at 86,199 miles, the vehicle covered nearly 37,000 miles. This steady accumulation indicates the car has been used regularly rather than sitting for long periods, which often helps keep seals and components lubricated. The lack of advisories across these high-mileage intervals is notable, as vehicles like the Caddy typically show signs of wear at these distances. Despite the clean record, a buyer should focus their physical inspection on components prone to age and 100,000-mile wear. Inspection of the suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers is necessary, as the high mileage puts significant stress on these parts. The brakes should also be checked for signs caliper calipers or thinning discs, as the MOT only tests for immediate safety failures. Given the vehicle's age, checking the chassis for early-stage corrosion on the sills and mounting points will ensure the structural integrity remains sound for future use.
