2008 Lexus RX350 3.5L Petrol · GP08 AGO

The 2008 Lexus RX350 presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 29 September 2025 at 88,838 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken run of clean results across the available history. No advisories or mechanical faults appear in any entry, indicating the vehicle has not required corrective work within the recorded MOT cycle. Recorded mileage stands at 88,838 against an 18-year lifespan, equating to roughly 4,935 miles per year. The DVSA data shows gentle accumulation: 79,479 miles at the October 2022 test, 83,603 by September 2023, 86,201 in October 2024, and 88,838 by September 2025. The sparse five-entry record reveals no gaps exceeding thirteen months and no abrupt jumps in use. Low annual coverage of this order often signals light commuting or extended standing periods rather than sustained motorway wear. A failed test dated 28 September 2023 at 83,603 miles carries no listed defects, with a passing certificate issued the same day at identical mileage. This pattern suggests an administrative or procedural rejection rather than a mechanical fault, and the immediate pass confirms no outstanding concern. The absence of corrosion, suspension bush, brake disc, or exhaust emission advisories across all entries implies previous owners addressed consumables before each test. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of structural integrity and underbody corrosion given the vehicle's age, as MOT cleanliness does not preclude latent rust on sills or subframes. Verify the condition of coil springs, binding calipers, and tyre sidewalls through hands-on checks, and confirm service history to explain the low mileage. The clean record supports confidence, but standing time can conceal perished seals or flat-spotted tyres unseen by the tester.
