2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400 1.4L Petrol · GU12 VBK

The 2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400 is currently roadworthy. The most recent MOT on 29 May 2026 recorded a pass at 24,827 miles with no defects. The vehicle’s maintenance trend is stable after a single failure in May 2024 when the central rear reflector was missing; all subsequent tests have been clean. Mileage accumulation over the car’s life is low at 24,827 miles, roughly 1,800 miles per year, which is modest for a 14‑year‑old machine. The annual increase remained under 2,000 miles until 2024, when the odometer jumped from 17,590 to 22,482 miles—a rise of 4,892 miles in a single year. This spike suggests a period of heavier use or a gap in recorded tests. The data set is otherwise consistent, with only the rear‑tyre advisory in April 2019 indicating basic wear. A buyer should inspect the rear reflector assembly and the rear tyre tread for uneven wear, as the 2019 advisory flagged the tyre was close to the legal limit. Given the age, examine suspension bushes and coil springs for corrosion, and check brake discs and calipers for binding or uneven wear. The low mileage does not guarantee that routine services have been performed, so verify oil, coolant and brake fluid condition, and look for any rust or structural corrosion, especially on the frame and exhaust mounts. A visual check of the exhaust system for leaks or corrosion is also prudent. Overall, the vehicle presents a solid mechanical foundation, but a hands‑on inspection will confirm that the low‑mileage advantage has not masked neglected maintenance.
