2007 Toyota Auris 2.2L Diesel · GV07 BBJ

The Toyota Auris last passed its MOT on 11 December 2023 at 125,197 miles with no defects recorded, confirming it met roadworthiness standards at that examination. The maintenance trend is stable across the five tests from November 2020 to December 2023, as each logged no mechanical or structural faults. A curious anomaly appears on the same date: a failure at 125,197 miles with no defects noted, immediately superseded by the pass. This indicates an administrative or documentation irregularity rather than a worsening condition. Mileage progression shows light and decreasing use in later years. The tester recorded 120,376 miles on 13 November 2020, 122,913 on 8 November 2021, 124,683 on 31 October 2022, and 125,197 on 11 December 2023. Annual distances fell from roughly 2,500 miles to under 600 miles, suggesting extended periods stationary. Against a 19-year lifespan and typical average near 6,600 miles per year, the later record reflects sparse driving. No test exists between December 2023 and today's date in July 2026, a gap exceeding thirty months that leaves current condition unverified by DVSA data. A buyer should physically inspect suspension bushes, coil springs, and steering joints for age-related degradation despite the clean history. Long storage can cause binding calipers or corroded brake discs that escape detection at a single test. The exhaust system and underbody require checking for structural rust on sills and subframes, as a 2007 vehicle in low use still suffers moisture ingress. The unexplained fail entry warrants confirmation of the V5C and test certificate to rule out clerical error. Absence of advisories across four years implies previous owners kept basic upkeep or the car saw minimal stress, yet a fresh MOT remains essential before purchase.
