2021 KIA Niro 4 + EV Electric · HJ71 OBX

The vehicle presents a clean roadworthiness status, as evidenced by the most recent MOT test on 5 September 2025 at 15,171 miles which passed with no defects or advisories. This follows a stable maintenance trend established during the previous test in 2024. The lack of recorded failures suggests the vehicle has remained operating within manufacturer parameters without significant mechanical degradation or recurring safety concerns. The mileage profile is notably low for a five-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,000 miles per annum. Between the September 2024 test at 11,363 miles and the September 2025 test at 15,171 miles, the car covered only 3,808 miles. This low usage pattern indicates minimal wear on mechanical components such as brake pads, suspension bushes, and tyres, though it raises the possibility of fluid degradation if the vehicle has sat for extended periods. Since the MOT record shows no historical faults, a physical inspection should focus on potential issues common to low-mileage storage. Inspect the tyres for signs of flat spotting or sidew cracking from remaining stationary, and check the brake discs for surface corrosion caused by infrequent use. Given the electric nature of the Niro, verify the battery health and ensure the cooling systems are maintained, as the low mileage has not led to neglected service intervals.
