2005 Suzuki Wagon-R+ 1.3L Petrol · HV05 LWS

The most recent MOT test on 2025-05-08 confirms the vehicle remains roadworthy with no defects recorded at 162,307 miles. This marks a stable pattern over the past three annual tests, with no recurring advisories or failures. The absence of any major issues in the latest cycle suggests the vehicle has been maintained at a basic level, though the lack of defects does not preclude hidden wear—particularly in high-mileage components like suspension bushes, coil springs, and drivetrain joints. The most concerning omission is the duplicate entry for the 2024 test, which may indicate administrative error rather than mechanical failure, but it warrants verification of the vehicle’s true service history. The recorded mileage of 162,307 miles over 21 years aligns with typical usage for this age, averaging around 7,700 miles annually. There are no significant gaps or spikes in mileage between tests, with the most recent interval covering 3,064 miles since the 2025 test. The consistency suggests the vehicle has been driven regularly rather than left stationary for extended periods, which could mitigate some corrosion risks. However, the lack of service records beyond MOTs means critical maintenance—such as fluid changes, timing belt inspection, or differential servicing—cannot be confirmed. Given the clean MOT history, a prospective buyer should prioritise an independent inspection of suspension components, particularly the rear bushes and coil springs, which are prone to fatigue at this mileage. The brakes, while not failed, should be checked for uneven wear or binding calipers, as the lack of advisories in past tests does not rule out gradual deterioration. Structural integrity is another concern; the frame rails, sills, and wheel arches should be examined for corrosion, especially given the vehicle’s age. Finally, the engine bay and drivetrain should be inspected for leaks or excessive wear, as the absence of advisories in previous tests does not guarantee these areas have been properly serviced.
