2014 Mercedes-Benz C 2.1L Diesel · HV14 ADX

The vehicle demonstrates stable roadworthiness with no defects recorded in its last five MOT tests, including the most recent 2026-03-01 inspection at 107,097 miles. All prior tests from 2022 to 2025 showed similar pass results with no issues, indicating consistent maintenance and no emerging mechanical concerns. The absence of advisories or failures over this period suggests the car has been well-maintained, with no recurring faults in critical systems like brakes, suspension, or emissions. The mileage progression aligns with typical usage for a 12-year-old vehicle, averaging 8,925 miles annually. Tests were conducted at regular intervals, with mileage increasing steadily from 66,726 miles in 2022 to 107,097 miles in 2026. No significant gaps or rapid accumulation were noted, reflecting consistent operation rather than prolonged inactivity. This pattern reduces concerns about neglected components due to standing, though the lack of detailed defect reports limits insight into minor wear trends. A buyer should physically inspect the suspension system, as Mercedes-Benz C-class models of this era are prone to wear in suspension bushes and coil springs, which may not trigger MOT failures until advanced. Check for brake disc warping or caliper binding, as these can develop gradually without immediate detection. Corrosion, particularly in underbody panels or chassis rails, warrants scrutiny, as it often goes unrecorded in MOT tests. The exhaust system and emission controls should also be verified, as minor leaks or faults could affect compliance without triggering a failure.
