2013 SEAT Leon 2.0L Diesel · HV63 FTY

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, showing a consistent maintenance record over the last three years. Following a failure in June 2022, the SEAT Leon has passed its three most recent MOT tests without a single recorded defect or advisory item. The most recent pass test conducted in July 2025 at 214,933 miles confirms that the vehicle currently meets the minimum safety and emissions standards despite its high operational mileage. The mileage pattern indicates heavy usage for a 13-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 16,500 miles per annum. The data shows rapid but consistent accumulation, most notably the 20,000 miles driven between June 2023 and June 2024, and another 23,726 miles between June 2024 and July 2025. This high mileage suggests the car was likely used for motorway commuting, which often results in less wear on clutch and brake components compared to city driving but places significant strain on the drivetrain and suspension. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the components most susceptible to such high-mileage stress. Given the 214,000-mile mark, a thorough check of the suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers is essential as these parts often reach their fatigue limit. While the MOT record is currently clean, the volume of travel means the buyer must inspect brake discs for thinning and check the chassis for any signs of structural corrosion that may not yet reached the threshold of a standard MOT failure.
