2011 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0L Diesel · HX11 DMV

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness, maintaining a consistently stable maintenance trend over the last five years. The most recent inspection in November 2025 at 135,956 miles resulted in a clean pass with no recorded defects. This streak of perfect results across annual tests from 2021 to 2025 suggests that the previous owners have maintained the mechanical and safety standards without recurring technical failures. Mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent with the vehicle's fifteen-year age, averaging approximately 9,000 miles per annum. Between the October November 2021 test at 105,384 miles and the November 2025 test at 135,956 miles, the car covered 30,572 miles. This steady usage indicates regular operation rather than long periods of stagnation, which often leads to seal degradation and brake corrosion. The lack of advisories in the records further implies that components have remained within acceptable operational tolerances. While the MOT history is clean, a buyer must still perform a physical inspection of common failure points for an Insignia of this era. Examine the structural integrity for signs of corrosion, particularly on the rear subframe and suspension mounting points, as these are prone to oxidation despite clean records. Inspect the suspension bushes for cracking or tearing and check the brake discs for uneven wear or thinning. Given the mileage, verify the condition of the shock absorbers and fluid hoses to ensure no slow leaks have developed between the annual annual tests.
