2008 Audi A3 1.8L Petrol · HY58 DBZ

The 2023-08-29 MOT at 127,784 miles passed without any defects, confirming the vehicle’s current roadworthiness; a prior test on the same day at 127,780 miles also recorded no defects despite a failure status, indicating that no substantive mechanical issues were observed. Earlier tests from August 2021 through August 2022 all passed with no recorded failures, showing a consistent maintenance record. Mileage has risen from 116,882 miles in August 2021 to 127,784 miles by August 2023, an average of roughly 7,000 miles per year, which aligns with the 18‑year age profile and shows steady usage with no anomalous periods of low activity or rapid mileage accumulation. A buyer should therefore inspect suspension bushes and coil springs for wear, check for binding rear brakes or worn brake discs, examine the chassis and sills for structural rust, and verify exhaust emission levels, as these components commonly degrade with age even when MOTs record no failures. Overall, the vehicle presents a reliable profile with a consistent service history, but a thorough physical inspection remains advisable to confirm the absence of hidden corrosion or worn mechanical parts before purchase.
