2019 Rapido 8096DF 2.3L Diesel · J30 FRM

The 2019 Fiat 500e (Rapido) presents a clean MOT history with no defects recorded across its most recent three tests, including the May 2025 inspection at an unspecified mileage. This consistent pass rate suggests the vehicle has been maintained to a high standard, with no signs of recurring mechanical or structural issues. The absence of advisories or minor faults in any of the three tests—most recently just over a year ago—indicates a stable maintenance trend, with no evidence of deterioration in core systems such as brakes, suspension, or emissions. For a buyer, this level of compliance is reassuring, though it does not preclude the need for a thorough pre-purchase inspection, particularly given the lack of mileage context to assess wear patterns. The mileage data reveals a notable gap between tests: the vehicle covered 5,632 miles in the year between the May 2023 (8,361 miles) and May 2024 (13,993 miles) inspections, followed by another 13,993 miles by May 2025. While this suggests moderate usage, the absence of mileage figures for the most recent test leaves uncertainty about whether the vehicle has been driven aggressively or neglected between MOTs. Without a full service history, it’s impossible to confirm if the mileage accumulation aligns with typical wear expectations for the model. Buyers should verify the odometer reading against service records or receipts to ensure accuracy, as discrepancies could signal tampering or inconsistent logging. Given the flawless MOT record, a pre-purchase inspection should still prioritise components prone to silent failure or long-term wear, even if not flagged in tests. Particular attention should be given to the suspension—specifically the front coil springs and rear bushes—since these often degrade gradually and may not always trigger an MOT advisory until advanced. The brake system, including calipers, discs, and hydraulic fluid condition, should be checked for binding or uneven wear, despite the absence of past MOT concerns. Structural integrity, particularly around wheel arches and sills, should be scrutinised for corrosion, as the Rapido’s lightweight construction can accelerate rust development in damp conditions. Finally, while emissions tests were passed, a visual inspection of the exhaust system for leaks or loose mounts is advisable, as these can affect performance without immediate MOT consequences.
