2006 Audi A3 1.6L Petrol · J80 VEH

The 2006 Audi A3 presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 4 July 2025 at 136,698 miles passed with no defects recorded, and the three prior passes show no advisories or faults. The vehicle's history suggests consistent statutory testing and a lack of recurring mechanical or structural concerns across the examined period. Recorded mileage sits at 136,698 against an age of roughly 20 years, equating to about 6,835 miles per year and reflecting typical use for a car of this vintage. The gap between the 13 January 2022 test at 121,385 miles and the 19 January 2023 pass at 125,018 miles shows only modest accumulation of 3,633 miles, while the jump to 132,771 miles by 13 May 2024 and then 136,698 by July 2025 indicates light but steady annual cover. The DVSA data is sparse and clean, with no advisories logged to signal hidden wear. A failed test on 16 January 2023 at 125,018 miles preceded a pass three days later with no defects recorded, pointing to an administrative or minor rectification rather than a substantive fault. The absence of flagged items such as suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, or corrosion across all entries implies previous owners kept basic upkeep current. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of structural integrity and underbody corrosion given the vehicle's age, and verify the condition of consumables like tyres and wiper blades that MOT records may not detail. The clean record offers reassurance, but twenty-year-old Audis warrant a physical check of suspension and exhaust emissions before purchase.
