2012 Volkswagen Golf 2.0L Petrol · JA03 MXO

The Volkswagen Golf presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, confirmed by the most recent test on 26 August 2025 at 105,080 miles which recorded no defects. Every annual examination from 16 August 2021 through to that 2025 test passed without advisories, showing the vehicle has avoided recurring mechanical or structural faults across the four-year window. The mileage rose from 73,136 in August 2021 to 105,080 by August 2025, an accumulation of 31,944 miles over four years or roughly 7,986 annually. This sits close to the 7,506 per-year average for a 2012 car, indicating consistent rather than sporadic use. The record shows no sudden jumps or dormant periods, and the clean pass history with no flagged wear items suggests previous owners kept basic consumables and core systems within tolerance. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs given the car's fourteen-year age and 105,080 miles. The MOT data never cited corrosion or exhaust emissions issues, yet test stations vary in scrutiny and structural integrity can degrade between visits. Verify the service history matches the odometer, and check for underbody rust and tyre sidewall condition not captured by these passes. The absence of advisories implies reasonable care, but no MOT substitutes for a ramp-based examination of drivetrain and steering joints.
