2015 BMW 640 3.0L Diesel · JD57 PEG

The 2015 BMW 640 presents a currently roadworthy status, having passed the most recent MOT test on 12 September 2024 at 29,244 miles with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend is stable across the available history, with no advisories or mechanical faults flagged at any stage. The vehicle cleared its 2022, 2023, and 2024 tests without suspension, brake, exhaust, or corrosion issues noted by testers. Mileage sits at 29,244 miles against an eleven-year age, equating to roughly 2,659 miles per year. The record shows gentle accumulation: 26,719 miles on 6 October 2022, 28,296 miles on 9 October 2023, and 29,244 miles by 12 September 2024. This low annual use implies light running, though the two consecutive days of failure followed by pass on 9 and 10 October 2023, then 11 and 12 September 2024, with no defects logged, points to administrative re-tests rather than rectified faults. The data is sparse and clean, offering no evidence of neglected consumables or structural decline. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs given the car's low-use profile and likely prolonged standing periods. Drivetrain seals and underbody structural integrity warrant checks for corrosion where road salt exposure may have occurred despite minimal mileage. The absence of recorded advisories does not exempt the vehicle from age-related degradation invisible to the MOT regime.
