2012 Honda CR-V 2.0L Petrol · JF07 MKF

The 2012 Honda CR-V presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 5 March 2026 at 36,887 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken sequence of clean results across the available history. Mileage accumulation has been exceptionally low for a fourteen-year-old vehicle. The record shows 31,746 miles at the 23 March 2022 test, rising to 33,151 by 29 March 2023, 34,438 by 20 March 2024, 35,817 by 27 March 2025, and 36,887 by the March 2026 test. That equates to roughly 1,100 miles per year across the period, with no gaps or sudden jumps. The sparse, fault-free history offers no evidence of neglected consumables or deferred mechanical work. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection despite the clean MOT trail. Low annual mileage combined with a vehicle of this age often means prolonged standing periods, which can degrade suspension bushes, brake calipers, and tyres through weathering rather than wear. The tester recorded no advisories on corrosion or exhaust emissions, yet structural integrity beneath sills and subframes warrants a ramp check for hidden rust. Given the absence of any flagged defects across five consecutive tests, previous keepers appear to have maintained the CR-V to a standard that satisfied DVSA criteria. Prospective purchasers should verify service history and confirm brake disc condition, as minimal use can permit surface corrosion on rotors even when the car passes its annual test.
