2018 BMW X3 3.0L Diesel · JR06 FLY

The vehicle maintains a clean and stable roadworthiness profile, with the most recent MOT on 28 May 2025 at 44,086 miles resulting in a pass with no recorded defects. This outcome continues a consistent trend of compliance, as the previous two annual tests in June 2024 and September 2023 also concluded without any advisories or failures. The brief failure recorded on 5 September 2023 appears to be an administrative or testing anomaly, as the vehicle passed the following day with identical mileage and no faults listed. At 44,086 miles over eight years, the vehicle exhibits a low annual average of approximately 5,500 miles. The progression is steady, showing a notable jump of roughly 9,000 miles between September 2022 and September 2023, followed by more moderate usage patterns. This limited mileage suggests the car has not been subjected to high-intensity motorway commuting, though prospective buyers should remain mindful that low-usage vehicles can sometimes suffer from seized brake components or degraded rubber seals due to extended periods of inactivity. Given the absence of recurring mechanical advisories in the DVSA record, the vehicle appears to have been maintained to a high standard. You should focus your physical inspection on the condition of the brake discs and pads, as these components often show surface corrosion on vehicles that are not driven daily. Verify the operation of the suspension bushes and check for any signs of weeping from the dampers, as these are common areas of wear on an SUV of this age. Confirm that the tyres are of a reputable brand and show even tread wear, which will serve as a final indicator of the vehicle's overall alignment and chassis health.
