2013 BMW 116 2.0L Diesel · JU04 GAV

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status following its most recent MOT pass in February 2026 at 73,240 miles. While the car failed a test exactly one day prior with identical mileage, the subsequent pass with no recorded defects suggests that the previous owner was able to rectify any immediate failures identified by the DVSA tester. The lack of recurring advisories across the last three years indicates that the vehicle is currently in a clean mechanical state regarding primary safety components. At 13 years old, the recorded mileage of 73,240 miles represents a low annual average of approximately 5,600 miles per year. The data shows a significant gap in usage between January 2024 and January 2025, where the car covered only 6,000 miles, followed by a more rapid accumulation of 11,263 miles in the final year leading up to the 2026 tests. This low-use profile often leads to accelerated degradation of rubber components, suspension bushes, and seals due to the vehicle standing stationary rather than high-frequency use. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on signs of age-related wear that the MOT does not capture, such as perished brake hoses or cracks in the control arm bushings. Given the low mileage, it is vital to check the brake discs for pitting or seized calipers, which frequently occur on vehicles that spend long periods without use. Inspect the chassis for structural corrosion on the sills and suspension mounting points, as BMW models from this era are susceptible to surface rust despite the relatively low odometer reading.
