2022 Mazda CX-5 Sport Edition Auto 2.0L Petrol · K5 AVH

The Mazda CX-5 Sport Edition presents a clean roadworthiness profile. The maintenance trend is stable, with the most recent MOT conducted on 10 November 2025 at 43,427 miles returning a pass with zero defects recorded. That is a strong result, particularly for a vehicle approaching its fourth year. No advisories, no failures, and no recurring mechanical flags indicate the car has been kept in sound working order through its early ownership period. Mileage accumulation sits at approximately 10,857 miles per year, which is broadly typical for a vehicle of this age and class. There are no notable gaps or anomalies in the record to suggest extended periods of disuse or sudden high-intensity use. The single recorded test at 43,427 miles aligns with steady, regular driving rather than low-mileage storage or aggressive annual accumulation. The MOT history is sparse in terms of entries, but the available data is clean, which limits the ability to track long-term wear patterns across multiple test cycles. With no flagged defects in the official record, a buyer should still carry out a thorough physical inspection focused on components that commonly degrade on a mid-size SUV of this age and mileage. Suspension bushes, coil springs, and shock absorbers should be checked for deterioration, especially if the vehicle has seen mixed urban and rural use. Brake discs, pads, and calipers merit close examination for uneven wear or binding, even though no brake-related advisories appeared on the most recent test. Tyre condition and tread depth across all four corners, including the spare if fitted, should be verified as consumable items can degrade between test intervals. Structurally, the underbody and wheel arches should be inspected for corrosion, particularly if the vehicle has been used in regions with regular road salt application. The exhaust system and its mountings should be examined for leaks or deterioration, and engine fluid levels and condition should be assessed to confirm ongoing servicing diligence. A short test drive will reveal any subtle drivetrain vibrations, steering alignment issues, or gearbox behavior not captured in a static MOT inspection. The record supports a well-maintained vehicle, but a hands-on inspection remains essential before purchase.
