2001 Porsche Boxster 3.2L Petrol · K9 AHE

The vehicle maintains a clean bill of health, with the most recent MOT on 26 March 2026 resulting in a pass with no defects recorded. This performance indicates a stable and well-maintained mechanical state, particularly given the lack of advisories across the last three successful tests. The brief failure on 19 August 2024, which was immediately rectified by the following day, suggests a minor administrative or easily resolved issue rather than a systemic mechanical failure. With a total of 63,332 miles over twenty-five years, the car averages roughly 2,500 miles annually, confirming a pattern of light, intermittent usage. The MOT record shows consistent testing intervals, which helps mitigate the risks typically associated with long periods of inactivity, such as seized calipers or perished rubber components. The lack of recurring advisories throughout the documented history points to a vehicle that has been kept in a garage or sheltered environment, avoiding the rapid deterioration often seen in high-mileage or neglected examples. Prospective buyers should focus their physical inspection on the condition of the suspension bushes and the integrity of the cooling system, as these are common failure points for a Porsche Boxster of this vintage regardless of low mileage. Check the underside for signs of corrosion on the structural members and ensure the engine shows no signs of oil leaks or cooling system seepage during a cold start. While the MOT history is exemplary, the age of the vehicle necessitates a thorough check of all rubber hoses and seals, as these components degrade over time even when the vehicle is not being driven.
