2016 Ford Mondeo 2.0L Diesel · KH16 CVR

The vehicle presents a highly stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by three consecutive MOT passes without recorded defects. The most recent test conducted on 20 November 2025 at 103,761 miles resulted in no failures or advisories. This trend indicates a consistent maintenance standard, suggesting that the previous owners have proactively addressed mechanical and safety requirements before they reached a point of failure during the inspection process. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 10,300 miles per annum. Between November 2023 and November 2024, the car covered 7,950 miles, followed by an additional 9,024 miles in the subsequent year leading up to the 2025 test. This steady usage suggests regular motor road use rather than long periods of stagnation, which is generally beneficial for the preservation of seals, bushings, and braking components that are prone to corrosion-related issues when stationary. While the MOT record is clean, a buyer must still perform a physical inspection of high-wear areas typical of a Ford of this age. Focus on the suspension geometry, specifically the control arms, coil springs, and rubber bushes for signs of perishing or tearing. Given the mileage exceeds 100,000 miles, verify the condition of the brake discs for thinning and check the calipers for binding, as the MOT only tests for functional failures relative to immediate safety rather than gradual wear.
