2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class 1.5L Diesel · KT65 AAX

The vehicle’s most recent MOT, conducted on 2025-01-16 at 61,502 miles, recorded a PASS with no defects. However, the same date shows a conflicting FAILED entry with no defects noted, suggesting a potential data inconsistency. Subsequent tests from 2024 and 2023 also passed without issues, indicating a stable maintenance trend over the past three years. No recurring mechanical faults or structural concerns were flagged in the recorded history, implying consistent adherence to roadworthiness standards. The mileage progression aligns with an average annual usage of ~6,150 miles, which is typical for a 10-year-old vehicle. The 2023 test at 46,096 miles and the 2024 tests at 51,793–51,876 miles show gradual accumulation, with no significant gaps or spikes. The 2025 test at 61,502 miles confirms steady use, though the lack of a valid MOT beyond January 2025 raises questions about compliance. This gap, spanning over 18 months, suggests the vehicle may not have been inspected for roadworthiness in recent years. A buyer should prioritize a hands-on inspection of the suspension components, including bushes and coil springs, given the age and mileage. The absence of brake-related defects in MOT records is reassuring, but a closer check for corrosion on brake discs and caliper binding is advised. Exhaust emissions and structural integrity should also be verified, as these areas are often overlooked in older vehicles. The lack of recorded advisories does not eliminate risks, particularly with components subject to gradual wear.
