2007 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2L Diesel · KV57 RXH

The vehicle remains roadworthy but the maintenance trend shows a gradual degradation of suspension and rubber components. While the most recent test in September 2025 at 155,961 miles passed, it carried forward multiple advisories regarding leaking rear shock absorbers and perishing tyres. The persistence of oil misting on shocks from 2023 through 2025 indicates that the owner is deferring repairs rather than addressing mechanical faults before they reach failure. At 155,961 miles, this 19-year-old Corsa averages approximately 8,200 miles per year, which aligns with typical national averages for its age. The data shows consistent usage, with roughly 5,800 miles covered between the October 2023 and October 2024 tests, and another 5,756 miles between October 2024 and September 2025. This steady interval suggests the car is used regularly, which is generally better for mechanical seals than long periods of inactivity. A buyer must conduct a close physical inspection of the rear suspension and tyre condition. The 2025 test flagged corrosion on both rear coil springs, which, combined with the ongoing leaking shock absorbers, suggests a high risk of sudden component failure in the near future. The recurring mentions of cracked and perishing tyres across three years indicate that the rubber is failing due to age rather than tread depth, necessitating immediate replacement of the set to ensure safety. The non-excessive oil leak noted in October 2024 requires monitoring to determine if it originates from a simple gasket cover or a more significant engine seal. Given the age and mileage, the buyer should also check for structural corrosion in the sills and wheel arches, as the current MOT record does not explicitly highlight structural weaknesses yet but they are common for this model.
