2012 Audi A5 1.8L Petrol · KW12 USX

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by its most recent pass on March 4 2026 at 84,815 miles with no defects recorded. While the car failed a test on January 31,2026, at 84,759 miles, the subsequent pass just five weeks later suggests a minor adjustment or consumable-related failure that was promptly addressed. Since 2022, the vehicle has maintained a clean record without any recorded advisories or recurring mechanical or structural failures. The mileage pattern is consistent with low-intensity usage for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 6,000 miles per year. Between November 2022 and November 2024, the car covered 8,224 miles, showing a steady usage rate. The recent interval of 1,644 miles between October 2023 and January 2026 indicates a period of even more infrequent driving. This low cumulative mileage generally reduces the wear on the drivetrain and engine components, though it increases the likelihood of rubber-based components and seals drying out or cracking over time. Given the clean MOT history, a buyer should focus their physical inspection on components that degrade with age rather than distance. Inspect the suspension bushes and control arm mounts for perished rubber, as low-mileage vehicles often suffer from brittle components when stationary. Check the brake discs for surface corrosion or pitting, a common issue with cars that sit for extended periods. While the record shows no structural rust issues, a manual check of the undercarriage for hidden corrosion remains necessary to ensure the integrity of the Audi chassis.
