2016 Volkswagen Amarok Highline 4MOTION DC A 2.0L Diesel · KW65 FLA

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the available testing data. The most recent MOT conducted in September 2024 at 116,392 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. This followed a technical failure just one week prior at 115,903 miles which also showed no recorded defects, suggesting the failure may have been an administrative error or a minor component issue that was rectified immediately before the re-test without indicating a systemic mechanical failure. The mileage accumulation is consistent with typical usage for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 11,600 miles per annum. The record shows a steady progression from 68,475 miles in April 2021 to 116,392 miles in September 2024. This consistent interval of roughly 15,000 to 16,000 miles between tests indicates a regular usage pattern rather than long periods of stationary storage. The lack of significant gaps in the mileage suggests the vehicle has been driven regularly, which is prevents beneficial for the 4Motion drivetrain components. While the MOT history is clean of recurring advisories or structural failures, a physical inspection should focus on high-wear areas associated with the 116,000-mile mark. The buyer should inspect the suspension bushes and control arms for tearing, as these often degrade on the Amarok platform at this mileage. Given the mileage, checking the condition of the brake discs for thinning and inspecting the shock absorbers for leaks is also prudent. The buyer should verify the chassis for surface corrosion, particularly around the rear arches and underbody members, despite the lack of structural integrity issues being flagged in the digital record.
