2022 Toyota Corolla 1.8L Hybrid electric (clean) · KX72 BZW

This vehicle presents a pattern of consistent roadworthiness with no recorded mechanical defects or advisories across its recent testing history. The most recent MOT passed on 08 April 2026, following a previous clean result on 24 February 2026, indicating that the vehicle has met all regulatory standards for structural integrity, braking efficiency, and emissions during its most recent inspections. The absence of any flagged issues suggests that the core mechanical components have remained within acceptable tolerance levels during these specific test intervals. The recorded mileage of 38,660 miles over approximately four years reflects an average annual accumulation of roughly 9,665 miles. This usage profile is consistent with typical UK driving patterns and suggests a steady rate of component wear rather than the accelerated degradation associated with high-mileage commercial use or the potential stagnation issues linked to very low-mileage vehicles. From a mechanical standpoint, this level of usage typically means that consumables such as brake pads, tyres, and suspension bushes will be subject to standard wear cycles, but the vehicle has not been subjected to extreme mileage-based stress. Given the lack of specific advisories regarding suspension linkages, brake pipes, or exhaust systems in the provided records, a physical inspection should focus on confirming the absence of any emerging issues. During a test drive, pay close attention to the steering response and listen for any dull knocks or clunks when traversing uneven surfaces, which could indicate the onset of wear in the suspension bushes or shock absorbers. The braking performance should be evaluated for any pedal judder or pulling to one side, which would suggest uneven wear on the brake discs or binding calipers. While the MOT history is clear of documented faults, the vehicle's age and mileage warrant a check for any signs of fluid weeping from the engine or gearbox, as well as an inspection of the underside for any early signs of corrosion on the subframe or exhaust. Ensure that the engine reaches operating temperature smoothly and that there are no unusual vibrations through the drivetrain during acceleration. Because the MOT records do not provide a complete picture of preventative maintenance, these tactile checks are essential to complement the official test results.
