2010 Audi A3 2.0L Diesel · KY60 FRR

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile following a clean MOT pass on 26 March 2026 at 99,248 miles. While the most recent test showed no defects, the failure just nine days prior at 98,725 miles is anomalous given no defects were recorded, suggesting a potential administrative error or a minor non-presentation issue that was rectified immediately before the re-test. Since May 2023, the car has consistently passed without advisories, indicating a consistent standard of mechanical upkeep. The mileage pattern is consistent with low-average usage for a sixteen-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 6,200 miles per annum. There is a notable gap in usage between May 2023 and May 2024, where the vehicle covered only 2,462 miles, followed by a more intensive period of over 23,000 miles in the two years leading up to the 2026 test. This recent increase in usage after long periods can sometimes stress age-related components such as rubber seals and fluid integrity, which degrade over time regardless of the distance driven. A buyer's physical inspection should focus on the structural integrity of the chassis and suspension mounting, as Audi models from this era are prone to corrosion in hidden areas. Given the low mileage, the buyer should check the condition of the control arm bushes for cracking or tearing, which occurs through age rather than mileage. Although the record shows no history of binding calipers or worn brakes, checking the discs and pads remains advisable to ensure the recent spike in mileage has not caused accelerated wear on the braking system.
