2017 Triumph Tiger 0.8L Petrol · KY67 OUX

The vehicle maintains a high standard of roadworthiness based on a consistently clean MOT history. The most recent test conducted on 18 May 2024 at 23,052 miles passed with no defects recorded, indicating that mechanical and structural components remained within legal tolerances. This reflects a stable maintenance trend with no recurring failures or escalating advisories appearing across the recorded period. The mileage pattern is notably low for a nine-year-old motorcycle, averaging approximately 2,561 miles per year. Between the 15 June 2021 test at 21,807 miles and the May 2024 test, the vehicle covered only 1,245 miles. This low usage suggests the bike has been used sparingly or sat stationary for extended periods. While low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine, it can sometimes lead to degradation of rubber-based components and fluids. Because the MOT record shows no mechanical faults, a physical inspection should focus on issues associated with low-mileage storage. A buyer should check for flat spots on the tyres, perished rubber hoses, and potential fluid leaks from the front fork seals. The brake discs should be inspected for surface corrosion or pitting, as long periods of inactivity can affect the metal surfaces despite low overall mileage. Additionally, the chain and sprockets should be checked for rust or uneven tension which often follows infrequent use.
