1994 Jeep Cherokee Limited Auto 4.0L Petrol · L138 CJT

This 1994 Jeep Cherokee Limited Auto presents a remarkably clean MOT history with an overall roadworthiness status that appears structurally sound, though the data sample is extremely thin. In the November 2021 test at 170,268 miles, the vehicle passed with zero defects or advisories recorded. Such a spotless single-entry snapshot indicates that the heavy four-wheel-drive running gear and safety systems met statutory standards at the time of inspection, but it lacks the chronological depth needed to establish a definitive long-term maintenance trend. The recorded mileage of 170,268 miles over approximately thirty-two years averages out to a modest 5,321 miles annually, which points towards lighter recreational use or intermittent deployment rather than heavy daily commuting. However, the available data reveals a concerning chronological gap, as the provided record consists of only a single test from late 2021 and no subsequent history leading up to the current date in August 2026. This absence of recent testing data means a prospective buyer cannot verify how the vehicle has been stored, maintained, or driven over the last several years. Given the age of this classic American four-wheel-drive platform and the lack of recent MOT oversight, an in-person physical inspection must prioritize areas prone to age-related degradation. The unibody chassis, floor pans, and structural mounting points for the suspension require rigorous probing for hidden corrosion, which is a common failing on older Jeeps of this era. Furthermore, a thorough examination of the automatic transmission, transfer case, axle seals, rubber suspension bushes, and brake lines is essential to uncover any deterioration stemming from extended periods of inactivity.
